Wava H. Oakes

Wava H. Oakes, of North Fayette Township, Coraopolis, PA, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 93 on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her residence.  A daughter of the late Orvin and Catherine LaBorde; beloved wife of 57 years to John T. Oakes; loving mother of Fern Williams, John E. Oakes, George (Christina) Oakes, and Kathryn (David) Loucks; proud grandmother of Chris (Jolene) Williams, Jamie (Mike) Crilly, Taylor Enault, Emma Oakes, and Nathan Oakes; adored great-grandmother of Carter Williams, Rowen, and Kinley Crilly.  Wava was devoted to her family and her primary interests revolved around them. She was a passionate follower of Christ and an active member of West Ridge Church.  She taught in the Moon School District and later at Rhema Christian School.
