W. Howard "Howie" Adams, age 82, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed into heaven on Saturday, February 7, 2026, with his beloved wife D. Eileen (Bauer) Birkner Adams by his side. They were married for 17 years, and he always bragged that she was the best thing that ever happened to him.
Born on July 24, 1943, Howie was the son of the late William H. Adams and Hilda May (Seber) Adams and big brother to the late Lorraine Brocato. He is survived by his precious daughter, Rachel L. Adams of Chandler, AZ, and son, Seth T. Adams (Casey) of Park City, UT, grandchildren, Hunter Adams, Caddis Adams, Pierce Adams and Rowan Adams, and his bonus family, Earleen Birkner (Michael Convery), David Birkner (Erica), and grandsons, Christian Birkner and Alexander Birkner.
Howie graduated from Oakmont High School, technical school, attended the University of Colorado, and graduated from Rhema Bible Training College. He was a pastor and electronic engineer. He was in the PA Army Reserves and was deployed to Vietnam in 1968 with the First Calvary Division where he was a radio repairman. Howie was exposed to Agent Orange and suffered many of its side effects.
Howie loved God. He said, “Without Jesus, I'm a joke.” He was a faithful member of The Table Church Pittsburgh West and the Seenagers Group. He was a master of dad jokes and puns. Howie never met a stranger, and he would encourage and pray with anyone anywhere. He was a gentleman and a gentle man.
