Vincent Smith Obituary

Vincent Lewis Smith passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2024, at the age of 92. He was an extraordinary husband, father, pop, and great pop and was always surrounded by family. Vince and his wife of 66 years the late Joan who passed on January 15, 2022, were always ready for another adventure and spent many hours on the road heading for a new destination. Vince had a notable career in the airline industry, having been enlisted in the Air Force, and worked for Mohawk and U.S. Air. He retired from U.S. Air after thirty years of service.

Vince was an avid sportsman and often enjoyed fishing, golfing, tennis, and hunting with family members and friends. His talents as a skilled handyman often found him renovating the homes of his children or friends. Vince was a lifelong Catholic and had been a member of St. Columbkille for 60 years. He was active in parish council and served as president for a term.

He is survived by his daughter Deb (Dan) Keener of Cranberry, PA, daughter Diane (Dave) Beears of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, son Vince (Joy) Smith of Imperial, PA, and daughter Lisa (fiancé Gary Bills) Payne of Monroeville, PA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren: Jennifer Rife (Phil), Kara Hall (Chris), Curt Keener, Brian Beears (Laney), Megan De La Torre (Chris), Craig Keener, Chris Beears (Lindsey), Colin Smith (Emily), Sarah Chedwick (Ryan), Tristan Payne (Lola), Bella, Sophia, Landyn, Rosalyn, Clayton, Marie, Harper, Madeline, Kennedy, and Evelyn. He is survived by brother-in-law James (Karen) Klein, and sisters-in-law Marg and Gail Klein, and also several nieces and nephews.

Rest in Peace, Vince.
