Vicky Faux Obituary

Vicky L. Faux, age 66, of Hanover Township, Clinton, PA, passed on Monday evening, January 1, 2024. A daughter of Harold “Hodie” and Dorothy (Coates) Hallum; beloved wife of nearly 45 years to Ronald L. Faux; cherished mother of Alicia “Jackson” Faux (Shawnic Smith) and Nathan Faux (Morgan Charlton and her son Jayce Henry); sister of Kristie Rapp and her husband Keith.

In Vicky’s own words, here is how she described her courtship and marriage to Ron: “Ron and I met during high school – he noticed me first.  We were both in the band and he said he thought I would be someone nice to get to know.  After Ron finished high school, he went on to college while I still had two years more of high school. Although he commuted his first two years, we didn’t see much of each other. Ron received his associate degree the same year I graduated from high school. It wasn’t long before Ron felt he should go back to school and get his bachelor’s degree – at Penn State in Harrisburg. After dating for six years, we felt we knew each other well enough to get married and set the date for February 17, 1979. Ron and I both enjoy taking walks, camping, working on the house and vacationing. Separate interests: For me they would include baking, crafts and swimming. For Ron, running, woodworking and hobby farming.”

Here are Vicky’s words about adoption: “One reason for adoption is simple…we want a family and so far have been unable to accomplish that. To be there to care for someone, to help them grow and see them experience things for the first time are all part of why I would like to adopt. I pray that I can offer a child security, stability and a loving home. While in turn experiencing a child who is honest, trustworthy and respectful.”

About her faith: “The strongest influence in my life would have to be my faith. It is very important to me. It helps me put things into perspective. God has truly blessed me and not only with material things but with a great husband, good friends that I truly feel I could count on if I needed to and with a peace to know that He is in control especially when I get out of the way.”

Rest in peace, Vicky.
