Theresa Marie DeSantis-Walasik, age 57, of Jefferson Township, Burgettstown, PA, succumbed to her seven year fight with cancer at her residence on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Her long battle was valiantly fought and is an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Theresa was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 26, 1967, daughter to the late Frances DeSantis and stepfather, John Bravo. Theresa is survived by her two deeply cherished daughters, Ashley Walasik and Samantha (Chris Jr.) Hermann, and their father, Terry Walasik; companion, Thomas Griffith; sister, Katherine Bravo. Theresa also loved her two dogs, Rex and Goodboy, who will miss comforting her.
Theresa enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and trips to the lake. Hummingbirds brought her joy and happiness when they came to visit her. Theresa also reveled in making contributions to Gus the Groundhog charity. Family to receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2024, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 am, at St. Columbkille Church, St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, followed by burial at St. Columbkille Cemetery.
