Sylvia (Teckmeyer) Therrien-Stetz, age 87, of Coraopolis, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Sylvia was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on December 17, 1938, daughter to the late Dorothy (Hopkins) and Frederick Teckmeyer; beloved mother to Becky Powers and the late Richard Powers; cherished grandmother to Amanda Powers, Richard (Courtney) Powers, and Marlaina Powers; adored great-grandmother to Mariah Logan, Shawn Logan Jr., Richard Logan, Melody Schneider, Brooklyn Powers, Brice Powers, and Braven Powers; sister to Jean Vaughn, Diane Kline, Phyllis Bleech, Frederick Teckmeyer, and Michelle Contreras.
Sylvia enjoyed fishing, gardening, visiting the casino, and loved to watch the birds. She treasured spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and siblings. She always had a smile on her face and never judged; she always saw the best in everyone. Sylvia was a secretary at West Allegheny School District for many years, eventually enjoying the retired life. Rest in peace, Sylvia.
Family to receive friends on Sunday, February 15, 2026, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332, followed by a Funeral Service on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place following the service at Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.
