Sherry Nadik Obituary

Sherry L. Nadik, age 79, of Hanover Township, Clinton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in McDonald, PA, on June 10, 1947, daughter to the late Margaret “Honey” (Hampson) and Bernard Kalucki.  Sherry is survived by her loving husband, James A. “Jim” Nadik Sr.; sons, Jimmy (Bobbie Jo) Nadik Jr. and David (Tessa) Nadik; grandchildren, Tanner, Abby, and Jack Nadik; sisters, Carrie (Chris) Antonello and Judy (Jim) Sams; and, brother-in-law, Sam Openbrower.  In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her sister, Jan Openbrower.

Sherry graduated from Fort Cherry High School in 1965.  She went on to co-own a nail salon for roughly 15 years where she built relationships, shared her warm personality, and took pride in her work.

Family was the center of Sherry’s life.  She and her husband, Jim, shared 56 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, family, and cherished memories.  Together, Jim and Sherry enjoyed trips to Niagara Falls, a special place they loved visiting over the years.

Sherry loved her sons deeply and was proud of their families and the lives they built.  As a grandmother, she cherished Tanner, Abby, and Jack, and her love for them was constant and unconditional.  Whether through time spent together, the interest she took in their lives, or the simple joys she found in being their grandmother, Sherry made each of them feel loved and special.

Sherry also had a special way of keeping tabs on the people she loved, sometimes quite literally.  She was lovingly known for checking in on her family through Find My Friends, always wanting to know that everyone was safe, they were where they needed to be, and kept them close in her heart even when they were apart.

Sherry was also a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed cheering on her team.  She loved to cook and bake, especially for the people she loved.  Her family will fondly remember her strawberry cake, snickerdoodles, and the many other dishes and treats she made with care.

Sherry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 10, 2026, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, (724) 695-7332.  A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by Interment at Hopewell Hebron Cemetery.
