Age 68, of Coraopolis, PA, departed this life on Sunday September 18, 2022. Sharon was born in Dayton, OH on April 19, 1954, to parents George N. Powell, Jr. and Shirley Kidd (nee Brewer).She was preceded in death by her father, George N. Powell, Jr. Sharon is survived by her husband, Christopher Walker, daughters Natalie, Andrea and Michelle Walker, son, Michael Walker, very special granddaughter Nia Walker, mother, Shirley Kidd and sisters, Kathy (James) Brown Jr. (Apex, NC), Glenda Carlisle (Cincinnati, OH) and Cherisse Kidd (Dayton, OH). Sharon graduated with honors from Roosevelt High School, in Dayton, OH and the University of Cincinnati where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She retired after 29 years from American Airlines (formerly US Airways) in 2016 where she worked as a Pilot Crew Scheduler.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister with a wonderful sense of humor. Always striving to improve in her younger years, Sharon was known to take a class on anything that interested her, most notably, modeling, cake decorating, various crafts and skydiving. Sharon was also an avid ‘gamer’ spending months trying to defeat various quest adventures.
Whether it was a prayer, text, email, phone call, flowers, or any of the other many acts of kindness, Sharon's family wishes to express their deep appreciation and gratitude for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
