Roy A. Begly

Roy Alan Begly, age 64, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.  Roy was born on June 10, 1960, in Pittsburgh, PA, son to the late Arthur J. and Ruth E. (Straw) Begly; beloved father to his two sons, Alan and Brian Begly, and their mother, Frances; brother to Father Mark Begly, Daniel (Patricia) Begly, Russell (Susie) Begly, and the late Scott Begly.

Roy was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed camping and the outdoors.  He was always trying to catch the biggest fish in the lake but happy with even the smallest fish.  Roy enjoyed classic cars and visiting car shows.  He was an enthusiastic baseball fan and traveled to see many games in many different cities.  Roy worked in appliance repair at Bridgeville Appliance, and he always took pride in his work and helping friends and neighbors.  Rest in peace, Roy.

Family to receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:00 am, at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Columbkille Church, St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, 103 Church Road, Imperial, PA.  It is respectfully requested that donations in Roy’s memory be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
