Rolf P. Engdahl

Rolf P. Engdahl, age 82, of Patterson Township, Beaver, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, with family and friends by his side.  Rolf was born in Providence, RI, on March 24, 1942, son to the late Samuel and Mary Engdahl.  His greatest love was his late wife of 26 years, Joann "Puggy" Engdahl, who passed away on September 20, 2009.  Rolf is survived by his daughter, Debbie Laird (Heath Weigner); son-in-law, Scott Stalling; six grandchildren: Joe (Blake) Laird, Trent Stalling, Julia Stalling, Kayla Weigner (Channing Hicks), Larry Weigner (Shelby Wagenhoffer), and Shania Weigner; five great-grandchildren: Mila Hicks, Jaxson Hicks, Natalie Hicks, Larry (Bubby) Weigner, and Sophia Weigner; and his companion of several years, Martha (Embi) Foerch.  Rolf is also preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy (Joseph, who survives) Hough, and grandson, Timmy Toner.

Following a four-year career in the Air Force where he was a fighter jet mechanic, Rolf worked for U.S. Airways for 32 years as an airplane mechanic.  He was a member of the Beaver Valley Yacht Club and the Moose Club in Ellwood City where he would meet with his friends every Wednesday.  He loved boating, beer, and cigars, and there was never a downed tree that was safe with Rolf around as he loved to cut wood to heat his home in the winter.  However, no matter what time of year it was, you would always find him wearing shorts.  Rest in peace, Rolf.

A Celebration of Life in Rolf’s memory will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, with a military service at 2:00 pm, at the Beaver Valley Yacht Club, 219 Front Street, New Brighton, PA.  Arrangements entrusted to HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M.
