Robin M. Redman, age 65, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed painlessly at Allegheny General Hospital on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Robin was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on October 24, 1959, daughter to the late Robert V. and Dorothy J. (Dzura) Pavlan. She lived in the Clinton, PA, area prior to moving to Oakdale. Robin is survived by her husband, Dave Redman, her two sons, Matthew Munko and Ryan Munko, her grandson, Waylon Munko, who she most enjoyed spending time with, and her brother, Robert (Natalie) Pavlan.
Robin was a strong and faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church in Moon Township where she and her husband, Dave, were married. She was often speaking about her faith. Robin previously worked at Bayer Corp. as a Lab Technician before adopting a slower life and working at the local mini-mart. Here she felt she could interact with and impact the community most of all, which is where her joy came from. She was always caught up on everyone’s life and willing to help or talk to anyone. Robin enjoyed early walks around the neighborhood with her dogs, Herby and Cody, interacting with neighbors, friends, and family, viewing sunsets (especially when at the ocean), and always caring for animals, often homing animals in need. She was known for her summer parties, good cooking, sense of humor, and her faith in God.
Robin’s legacy lives on as an organ donor. One person in Ohio has received her liver, and another in New Jersey has received one of her kidneys, something she would have wanted to happen. Robin would want everyone not to be saddened but to celebrate her life.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., with a Blessing Service at 7:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332.
