Robert A. "Bud" (Jr.) Tatro

Robert A. “Bud” Tatro Jr., age 83, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed away at his residence on Thursday morning, November 7, 2024. Bud was born in Malone, NY, on August 7, 1941, son to the late Evelyn (Rogers) and Robert Tatro Sr; beloved husband of 64 years to Margaret “Peggy” (Lepine) Tatro; cherished father to his four children, Susan Tatro, Michelle Franchek and her husband, Robert, Robert Tatro and his wife, Renee, and Lori Gearhart and her husband, Jack; adored grandfather to Jason and Jesse Franchek and Nicole Gearhart; brother to Loretta (James) Lepine and Alan (Mary) Tatro; uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Bud was a man of many hobbies and talents. He enjoyed woodworking, building clocks and various pieces of furniture. Bud’s other interests included antique cars and photography. He acted as the family photographer, a camera always in his hands at gatherings of family and friends. A lover of the outdoors, Bud and his family enjoyed camping together at their site near Darlington, PA. As a young teenager, Bud became a guitar enthusiast, playing in a family band with his aunts and uncles. For the past 20+ years, Bud and Peggy have spent their winters in southern Texas, enjoying dancing to the country bands. He will always be remembered as a great friend, willing and able to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Most importantly, though, Bud’s greatest joy and most significant part of his life was family, his wife, Peggy, children, and grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish at St. Columbkille R. C. Church, inurnment private. Rest in peace, Bud.
