After a long battle with alcohol addiction, Richard L. Spencer, Jr., age 41, had completed an intense rehab program. He was on his journey with sobriety and was winning. He decided to start the new journey in Philadelphia where he had friends and family. Unfortunately that journey ended when he was involved in a fatal crash on March 29th. He leaves behind a son Richard C. Spencer , his mother and step father Charlotte and Rege Kuntz, a sister Kari Spencer (Frank Dobbins), step brother Shawn Kuntz, 4 nieces and nephews (Jordan, Mariah, Jayden, and Rylee), grandmothers JoAnn Staub and Lueeva Spencer, and numerous aunts and uncles. Richard (Ricky) was known as a "Jack of all Trades". He helped everyone and anyone, sometimes extending himself too thin. He had a gentle soul and a heart of gold and had a hard time saying "no". We find comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with his dad Richard L. Spencer, Sr., his grandfathers Charles Staub and Harold Spencer and his beloved dog Buddy, who died at his side in the accident. Memorial donations will be accepted to further his son's education at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.
