Richard “Duke” Minarcin, age 66, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Duke was born in Sewickley, PA, on August 31, 1959, loving son to the late Mary Ann (Dziak) and Richard Z. Minarcin. He is survived by his caring brother, Robert Minarcin, brother-in-law, Michael Cartwright, and his devoted aunt, Margaret (Dziak) Cheney.
Duke had a career as a surveyor before he retired. A true outdoorsman at heart, he found great joy in hunting and fishing and eagerly looked forward to every trip and expedition he could organize. Whether in the field or by the water, those were the times he felt the happiest, surrounded by good friends and the outdoor air he loved.
Duke was a beloved member of his family and community, known for his easy-going nature and the many lasting friendships he made throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, and everyone who was fortunate to know him. Rest in peace, Duke.
There will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements by HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332.
