On Friday, October 21, 2022, at age 94, our sweet little Gram joined her loved ones in heaven. Norma was the devoted wife of the late Frank C. Buck for 64 years. She was the daughter of Norman and Evelyn (Schollaert) Tournay; loving mother of Frank Buck of Conneaut and the late Celeste Buck; proud and loving grandmother of Frankie Buck, Julie (Jon) Murphy, Matt Buck, and Kaylee Perry; great-grandmother of Chase and Mia Murphy. She is also survived by siblings Phyllis (Adrian) Vanstrien, Francis Palumbi, James (Janet) Schollaert Helen Weaver, Joyce Tournay-Tucker, Bonnie Tournay Anderson, Denise Tournay Pfeiffer and Robert Tournay; dedicated sisters-in-law Rose Tournay and Marg Buck along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Norma was preceded in death by sister Jeannie Mainwaring and brothers Donald, Norman, Howard, and Ed Tournay.
Norma graduated from McDonald High School and worked as a switchboard operator at the Bell Telephone in McDonald along side her sister Jeannie. She was most content being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved hosting luncheons and dinners for family and friends and fed anyone who walked through her door.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Noblestown where she was devoted to the Christian Mothers and Guild, belonged to various card clubs, and loved baking and volunteering for various fundraisers.
Norma was a loving caretaker for her whole family. She loved baking and was an avid reader, especially her Bible. She had a loving and compassionate heart and was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Rest in peace, Norma. It is respectfully requested memorial donations be sent to one's favorite charity.
