Margaret "Betty" E. (Martindill) Ward

Age 90, of North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, passed on Tuesday morning, February 14, 2023, at Magee-Women’s Hospital. A daughter of the late George and Margaret (Lynch) Martindill; beloved wife of the late Robert P. Ward; loving mother of Nancy (the late David) Morris, Patty (Jim) Radant, Ruth Ann (Tom) Keller, Robert Ward, Janet (Mike) Gervas, Alan Ward, and the late Margaret “Peggy” Ward; sister of Carol Biearman, Joseph Martindill, Lynn Gerard, the late Lois Bates and Ruth Ann Redman.  Betty was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Betty retired from SNPJ Lodge 106 in Imperial, PA, where she was a bookkeeper for 13 years. She was a member of the Miss Fits Bowling League.  She was also a member of the McDonald Methodist Church in Noblestown and her church family said this: “As we give thanks to God for our beloved friend and sister in Christ, we remember Betty’s servant life and the light she shone for family, friends, and strangers.  In the midst of whatever struggles she may have endured, she never lost her faith, her hope, or her desire to help others. That is her earthly legacy as she spreads her wings, and one in which we pray her family will find comfort and be blessed. It was Betty’s intent to be in church on Easter morning to worship with us. Instead, she will now celebrate with the Risen Christ where eternal rest, peace, and joy are now hers.”
