Lori A. (Long) Thomas

Lori A. Thomas, age 58, of Findlay Township, Clinton, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at West Penn Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.  Lori was born on January 31, 1965 in Sewickley, PA.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Cecil and Arlene Long of Findlay Township as well as her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Carol Thomas of Aliquippa (Raccoon Twp.).  Lori, a 1983 graduate of West Allegheny High School, attended West Liberty University where she received her bachelor’s degree. She went on to work for Ohio Valley Hospital as a medical technologist for the next year 31 years.  The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and members of Clinton United Presbyterian Church for their continued support as Lori and her daughter Lindsay had just completed the new members classes.  Lori leaves behind her loving husband of 26 years, Mark Thomas.  Beloved mother of Lindsay Thomas, Cassidy Thomas, and Dane Thomas.  Sister of Traci Melnick, brother of Rev. Dr. Jeff (Lois) Long, and brother-in-law, Michael Thomas.  Aunt of Seth (Brittany) Melnick, Emily and Rachael Long, and Hannah Thomas.  Lori was an amazing wife, mother, aunt, and friend who always put her family first.  She will be deeply missed by all.  Family to receive friends at the HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Rd., North Fayette Twp., Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332 on Thursday, March 9, 2023 between the hours of 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10 at 12:00 pm at Clinton United Presbyterian Church, 25 Wilson Rd, Clinton, PA.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.  Followed by burial at Clinton United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Rest in peace, Lori.
