Linda K. "Kay" (Deane) Sherbondy

Forever in our hearts, Linda K. “Kay” Sherbondy, age 82, of North Fayette Township, McDonald, PA, went to the arms of our loving God on Wednesday morning, January 22, 2025.  Kay was born in Ranielle, WV, on May 3, 1942, daughter to the late Lillian (Hefner) and Atwell Deane.  She is survived by the love of her life, Harry A. Sherbondy, to whom she was married for sixty-one blessed years.  Kay was a devoted mother to her two children, Ann (David) Cognetti and Kelly (Roshni) Sherbondy; proud grandmother to Dominique Cognetti, Andrew Sherbondy, Tara Sherbondy, and Anthony Cognetti; sister to Zettie Duke.  Along with her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard Deane and Hugh Deane.

Kay was an avid reader, a woman of faith, and enjoyed various crafts.  She made hundreds of Christmas ornaments which she gifted to friends, family, and staff at West Allegheny School District.  Many babies were kept warm by the numerous baby blankets she crocheted and knitted.  Afghans were gifted to friends and family in their favorite colors.  Rest in peace, Kay.

Family to receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2025, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332.  It is respectfully requested that memorial donations in Kay’s name be sent to Montours Presbyterian Church, 3151 Montour Church Road, Oakdale, PA 15071.
