Lanny J. McKeegan

Lanny J. McKeegan, age 69, of North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025.  Lanny was born on January 2, 1956, in Martins Ferry, OH, son to the late Helen (Bearson) and Peter McKeegan.  Lanny is survived by his children, Aileen and Jonathan McKeegan, their mother, Marion McKeegan, siblings, Tina (Mike) Witers, Paul (Carla) McKeegan, Charles “Pudgey” (Becky) McKeegan, and his grandpuppy, Gryphon.  In addition to his parents, Lanny is preceded in death by his brother, the late Terry McKeegan.

Lanny enjoyed his job as a Producer in the communications industry, working and traveling around the world for NEP and The Golf Channel.  His television sports production friends from far and wide became like family, and they made and shared great memories and lots of laughter.  Lanny loved telling the endless stories he accumulated through his travel and work.

Lanny was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was also an enthusiast of the outdoors and appreciated the time he spent on the boat at Seneca Lake.  When Lanny wasn’t working, he enjoyed time spent with his children and loved ones, especially surprising them with trips where memories were made for all to last a lifetime.  He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.  Rest in peace, Lanny.

Family to receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Blessing Service at 6:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M.
