LaVerne M. (Seiler) Palko

LaVerne M. Palko, age 96, of Hankey Farms, North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed peacefully at her residence on Friday afternoon, October 28, 2022.  She was born February 7, 1926, in Pittsburgh to the late Edwin and Helen (Grine) Seiler.  LaVerne was a graduate of Saint Francis Academy in Whitehall where she acted as an involved and proud member of the auxiliary board for many years.  She was a Communications Specialist for Trans World Airlines (TWA) from 1943 to 1953.  After raising her three children, LaVerne was employed with Calgon Corporation/Merck & Co., Inc.  She was a parishioner of St. Columbkille Church for over 60 years where she served as a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild and the Ladies of Charity.  LaVerne was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Gilbert “Gil” Palko of 51 years.  Beloved mother of Patricia Rupert (Paul), Susie Dorman (Danny), and Bob Palko (Sally).  Adored grandmother of Tyler (Tricia), Zack (Laura), Luke (Megan), Kyle, Sean, Patrick, and Amy; and cherished great-grandmother to Aubree, Kaiden, Kasen, Otto, Shaylee, Charlotte, and Arlo.
