Joseph J. “Joe” Vidmar, age 78, of North Fayette Township, Coraopolis, PA, passed away on August 13, 2025. Joe was born on April 15, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA, son to the late Elizabeth (Bush) and Joseph Vidmar; loving husband of 57 years to Sandra L. “Sandy” Vidmar; beloved father to Joseph and Jaime Lee Vidmar; grandfather to Taylor Matthew; great-grandfather to two.
Joe served as a dedicated teacher for the Hancock County Board of Education for 32 years. After retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed traveling with family and friends. He took memorable trips to Canada with friends, Ken and Viv, and tried his hand at slot machines in the casinos on trips to Las Vegas with friends, Ginny and Jim. Every May meant a vacation trip to Myrtle Beach. Joe also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like cutting grass on his John Deere tractor and spending time with his treasured friends at the Fort Pitt Inn and Tonidale. But to Joe, his wife and children were his greatest treasures in life. He was much loved and will be deeply missed.
