Joni Lee (Jordan) Gary

Joni Lee Gary, age 62, of Findlay Township, Imperial, PA, passed away at her residence on Sunday morning, December 22, 2024.  Joni was born on April 21, 1962, in Warren, PA, daughter to Maxine C. (Thomas) and James C. Jordan, who survive; devoted wife of 33 years to Bruce M. Gary, who survives; beloved mother to Danielle Gary and Jordan Gary; cherished grandmother to Sydney Redlinger; sister to Jeff Jordan, James (Lori) Jordan, and Jack (Jan) Jordan.

Joni was known for her love of animals, especially her golden retrievers.  She enjoyed vacationing in her favorite spot in the Finger Lakes of New York.  She went on numerous trips there and took her friends along with her to experience the beauty of wine country.  On Steelers Sunday, you could find her in front of the big screen with a cat in her lap.  In the summer, you could find her tanning with a book in hand.  If you called her at 2:00 p.m., she couldn’t talk because she was watching General Hospital.  Everyone knew her to be the life of the party, and she enjoyed hosting bonfires at her house with her husband, Bruce.  Joni could make friends with anyone and didn’t know a stranger.  Her favorite job by far was becoming a Mimi, and she ultimately was Mimi to many.  Joni loved to cook, especially her salsa in the summer with her fresh garden vegetables.  She will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the funeral home followed by Committal at Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.  It is respectfully requested that memorial donations in Joni’s name be sent to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.  Arrangements are entrusted to HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M.
