John Joseph Kraszewski, age 75, of Findlay Township, Imperial, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. John was born in Kennedy Township on November 1, 1950, son to the late Rita (Filson) and Victor Kraszewski. For 53 years, he was a devoted husband to Viola (Berthold) Kraszewski, who survives. Together they built a life centered around their home and family. John was a dedicated and loving father to Ashley Niggel and her husband, Ryan, and the proud grandfather of Tyler and Samantha. Along with his wife, daughter, and grandchildren, he is survived by his brother, Dennis Kraszewski, and sister-in-law, Sharon, his niece, Kristin Smith and husband, Ammon, and many dear extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Kraszewski.
John was raised in Santiago, PA, and spent most of his life in Imperial where he was known as a quiet, private man who kept to himself. He was a familiar sight on the Montour Trail and in local parks where he enjoyed the solitude of daily bike rides and walks. Whether he was on the trail, fishing, or listening to music, John appreciated the quiet moments of life. He was a hardworking man who only recently retired at age 71 from Pittsburgh Mailing where he worked as a courier. John was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes - he dedicated every ounce of his energy and hard work to the family he loved so dearly. Rest in peace, John.
Per John’s private nature, no services are scheduled at this time. It is respectfully requested that donations in John’s memory be sent to: The Montour Trail Council, 2589 Boyce Plaza Road, Suite 4, Pittsburgh, PA, 15241.
Arrangements entrusted to HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332.
