Joel S. Colinear
July 11, 1972 ~ January 18, 2024 (age 51) 51 Years Old
Joel S. Colinear, age 51, of North Fayette Township, Coraopolis, PA, passed on January 18, 2024, after a lengthy, hard-fought battle with health issues. Joel’s family, along with a group of close, childhood friends, was a major key to his strength and determination throughout; however, in the end, he was called to a peaceful place.
Joel was born on July 11, 1972, son to Sandra (Moore) and the late Theodore Colinear; loving and dedicated husband of 20 years to Alicia Colinear; loving and devoted father to his children, Derrick (Shelby Annesi and son, Armani), Camden, Kenedie, and Greyson Colinear. Joel’s greatest joy and blessings were his children. They all brought him immense happiness and made him so proud. Joel is also survived by his brother, Theodore Colinear, and sister, Noelle Colinear, as well as a brother-in-law, Scott Mitchell (Tara), and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joel graduated from Hempfield High School in 1990. He served his country by enlisting in the Army Reserves as well as graduating from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity where he met the majority of his dedicated and close friends who would become like brothers. This brotherly bond would not ever be broken.
Joel then went on to work in the Information Technology recruiting field where he discovered his passion and went on to become a successful business owner of FTSI Tech. His outstanding dedication to his work and his employees will always be immeasurable. In return, Joel’s dedicated employees showed what true teamwork really meant.
Joel’s integrity was the perfect role model to guide others. You could always find him volunteering at various community, school, and church events. Anything Joel ventured toward, he did wholeheartedly. His faith was of utmost importance, and most of his life was spent doing small, random acts of kindness out of pure love, care, and compassion for others. Joel had the ability to establish and maintain long-lasting friendships. If you were lucky enough to call him friend, you knew the list of his great qualities was never-ending. Joel’s smile and laughter could brighten any room, and for all of these, he will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 2-6 pm at the SNPJ Lodge #106, 255 West Allegheny Road, Imperial, PA, to celebrate the remarkable man Joel was. A memorial service, conducted by Pastor Nancy Kay Stanny of Valley Church, will be held at 2:30 pm.
