Joanne M. Ferlazzo

Joanne Marcella Ferlazzo, age 82, of North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026.  Joanne was born in Milton, PA, on March 16, 1944, daughter to the late Helen (Moyer) and Joseph Ferlazzo.  She is survived by her long-time companion of 50 years, Mary Lou Ferraro, and sister, Ruth Ferlazzo.  In addition to her parents, Joanne is preceded in death by her brother, William Ferlazzo.

Joanne graduated from Bucknell University and the University of Pittsburgh, earning degrees in respiratory therapy and a master’s degree in public health.  She was truly a math wizard.  While in the convent, she taught three math courses at once. 

Joanne’s passions were traveling, reading, and, of course, eating ice cream and cookies.  She had a heart of gold and would donate to any organization that sent requests for assistance.  Even at age 82, Joanne went to the gym three times each week.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Church of Archangel Gabriel Parish, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.  Rest in peace, Joanne.
