Barron who passed on February 16, 2010; devoted mother to her two daughters, Beth Lynn Cavey and Lisa Lee Zynosky (Mark Zehnacker); cherished grandmother to Megahn (Brandon) Howard, Nicole Cavey (Fernando Josephs), John Cavey V, Brandon Cavey, LCPL Noah (Sage) Zynosky-Zehnacker, and the late Nathanial Zynosky; great-grandmother to Daython, Hunter, Sky, Solomon, Asa, Rylan, Addie, and Leland; older sister to the late Margaret “Peggy” Meanor.
Jeanne retired after 36 years of service as a Banquet Captain at the Greentree Marriott, later called the Radisson Hotel. She loved to travel and was especially fond of cruises. Jeanne was a multi-talented and creative person. She decorated numerous cakes for loved ones’ special occasions. She taught several of her grandchildren how to sew, and she enjoyed crocheting crosses for the church. Jeanne made baby quilts, curtains, garters for brides, and her granddaughters’ baptism dresses. On one occasion, she made five hundred chair covers for the Marriott Hotel.
Jeanne had a wide variety of interests and talents. She could cook, bake, and make delicious candy. She even enjoyed canning and berry picking. Even though Jeanne didn’t know how to swim, her adventurous streak didn’t stop her from shooting the rapids. She also collected jewelry and even dabbled in jewelry making.
Jeanne had enormous love for her family. She raised her two daughters, Beth Lynn and Lisa Lee, and she enjoyed being a grandmother as well as a great grandma. She was a friend to everyone, strangers included. Jeanne was known for her kindness and generosity, donating to many causes and charities. She was steadfast in her faith, calling her daughter, Lisa Lee, each evening so they could say their nightly prayers together. Jeanne was an invaluable source of information and was often called to help solve problems or answer questions. Rest in peace, Jeanne.
