Gloria (Grillo) Teierle

Gloria Teierle, age 73, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, after a two-year battle with adrenal cancer.  She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 4, 1952, daughter to the late Ann (DePhillips) and Frank Grillo.  She graduated from South Side Catholic High School where she met her polar opposite and beloved husband of 50 years, Joseph Teierle, who survives.  Gloria’s greatest joy and devotion in life was her family.  With her husband, she raised four children whom she loved deeply, Dina (Vincent) Berkey of Hendersonville, TN, Jason Teierle of North Fayette, Ryan (Tessa) Teierle of Cincinnati, OH, and Stacy (Timothy) O’Neill of Ross Township.  Gloria also had four grandchildren, Ian and Kira Berkey, and Isla and Samuel Teierle, whom she unapologetically spoiled at every opportunity.  She is also survived by her siblings, Frank (Mary K) Grillo and Anna (the late Thomas) Kazmierczak, and brother-in-law, David (Kim) Teierle, all of whom she cherished greatly, and by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Gloria will be remembered as an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She loved to entertain and was happiest when her home was full, hosting holidays, birthdays, and any gathering that called for good food.  She had a talent for cooking and gift-giving, always making those around her feel deeply cared for.  She also loved to travel, going on many adventures with her husband and friends, and she firmly believed that bread and pasta were essential ingredients for a happy life.

Gloria will be missed for the light she brought into every room, her unwavering devotion to those she loved, and the humor, warmth, and grace with which she lived each day.

Those fortunate enough to have known Gloria will have an opportunity to honor her life on Friday, January 30, 2026, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish at St. Columbkille R. C. Church.  Rest in peace, Gloria.
