Gary L. Cain, age 63, of Findlay Township, Coraopolis, PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Gary was born in Pittsburgh, PA, son to the late Janet Ann (George) and William Shirrell Cain. Gary is survived by his children, Kaitlund (James) Ward and David Cain; grandchildren, Oliver and Owen Ward; brother, William “Randy” (Margie) Cain; nephew, Michael Cain; and aunt, Patricia Skinger.
Gary was raised in Imperial, PA, where he graduated from West Allegheny High School in 1981. He moved to Indianapolis, IN, in 1985 where he worked at various companies before retiring from Ingredion in 2019. Gary moved back to his hometown of Imperial in 2024 where he continued his support as a staunch fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his free time, one of his all-time favorite pastimes was fishing. Gary was much-loved and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will be received for a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332. A Committal Service will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery. Rest in peace, Gary.
