Eric G. "EJ" Johnson

Eric G. “EJ” Johnson, age 63, of North Fayette Township, Coraopolis, PA, quietly passed away at his home on the morning of Sunday, July 14, 2024.  Eric was born in McKees Rocks, PA, on December 11, 1960, son to the late Norman A. and Renee E. (Duncan) Johnson.  He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 30 years, Katherine D. Mills, son, William M. (Sarah Berkey) Mills of King of Prussia, PA, and beloved son, Jacob A. Johnson, of Pittsburgh, PA.  Eric is also survived by his brother, Norman (Ami) Johnson Jr. of CA, brother, Kent (Deborah) Johnson of Fairborn, OH, and favorite only sister, Gayle (the late William) Jackson, of Playa Vista, CA, along with many nieces and nephews.

Eric was a dedicated and loyal employee, working for Minnotte Manufacturing Corp. for 40+ years as a welder.  He was a graduate of West Allegheny High School and lifelong resident of North Fayette Township.  Eric enjoyed watching all levels of football and evaluating the plays and the players.  If you saw him at a high school or college sporting event, you probably saw him with a video camera recording the event.  He also enjoyed long bike rides on the local trails and fishing when the opportunity was available.  Eric loved hot peppers and spicy foods.  He grew his own ghost and reaper peppers to cook with (and mischievously share with his friends and family).  Eric will be deeply missed, and may he rest in peace.

Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332, followed by burial on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Allegheny Cemetery, 4734 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA.
