Eric J. Hootman

Eric James Hootman, age 36, of Ashville OH, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025.  Eric was born on May 18, 1989, in Columbus, OH, son to Charles Hootman III and Lori Simon.  In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his sisters, Mindie Suzanne Hootman and Jennifer Rae Hootman-Garcia, and his nephew, Kevin Eugene Campbell Jr.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Jr. and Helen Hootman, and his uncle, David Hootman.

Eric was a graduate of Teays Valley High School.  After high school, he provided roadside assistance for AAA and was a driver for Capital Towing.  Eric found the most joy in watching THE Ohio State Buckeyes and riding his motorcycle with his friends.

Family to receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332.  A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., Pastor Steve Byrd, officiant, followed by interment at Robinson Cemetery in Bulger, PA.  Rest in peace, Eric.
