Elizabeth J. "Bette" (Rengowski) Plesh

Elizabeth Jean “Bette” Plesh, age 92, of McKees Rocks, PA, formerly of Hopewell, PA, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Bette was born in Ambridge, PA, on May 16, 1933. She was the devoted wife of 51 years to the late Lewis J. Plesh. Bette is survived by daughters, Barbara Linsmeier and Alison (James) Nestor, son, Robert Plesh, grandchildren, Nicole Linsmeier (Nick Bisko), Joshua Linsmeier (Kiernan Murray), Dr. Sydney Diulus (Dr. Scott Weber), stepgranddaughter, Jacquelyn Nestor, and great-grandson, Henry Weber.

Bette graduated from Ambridge High School in 1952 and Sewickley Valley Nursing School in 1954; however, she spent the bulk of her adult life as mother to her three children. Bette was active in her children’s lives and contributed her time as a member of school and community organizations. After her children went on their own way, Bette continued her community service by driving for Meals on Wheels, typing books in Braille for the blind, and actively volunteering for the Christian Mothers at her home church of Our Lady of Fatima in Hopewell. She also kept up lifelong friendships with class members from her nursing school by attending annual social gatherings to include the ladies’ favorite “card club.” Bette will be loved and missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Bette.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 17, 2026, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332, followed by a Blessing Service at 5:00 p.m. Bette’s burial will take place on Saturday, April 18, at Divine Redeemer Cemetery, Fair Oaks, PA.
