Edward W. Ganoe, age 77, of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, passed on Saturday, December 26, 2020. He was born on July 2, 1943, in McDonald, PA, a son of the late Calvin and Ruth (Helmich) Ganoe. Ed was the beloved husband of Carol (Cumpston) Ganoe, cherished father of David (Myrta) Ganoe and Scott (Maria) Ganoe; adored step-father of Michael (Michelle) Solerto, Timothy Solerto and Kimberly Solerto; proud Pappy of Gregory Solerto, Sean Solerto, Matthew Solerto, Alayna Solerto, Kayla Solerto, Chelsey Estep, Chloe Bechtol, Luke Ganoe, Faith Ganoe and Hope Ganoe; and loving great-grandfather of 6. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Solman, and his brother, Jim Ganoe, and his special canine friend "Sammy". In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Fountain, Margie Voloskie, Mary Lewis, Ann Fratini and brother, C. "JR" Ganoe.
His grandchildren were his life. His favorite hobbies were eating and sleeping and watching the Steelers, the Pirates and the Penquins.
Ed retired from Eat-N-Park in Moon Township and had previously worked at Tonidale Restaurant as a cook.
