Edmund J. “Ed” Maloney, age 79, of North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Encompass Health in Sewickley, PA. Ed was born on May 1, 1944, the son of the late Agnes and John Maloney; devoted husband of 39 years to Barbara Maloney; beloved father to Dawn Dobrowski and her husband, Lance, the late April Snyder, who passed away on July 11, 2008, and her husband Edward who survives, and Sean Maloney; cherished grandfather to Joshua Dobrowski, Hope Andrews, Jordan Dobrowski, Seana Goozdich and her husband, Luke, and Riley Maloney; adored great-grandfather to Grayson Goozdich; also survived by his first wife and friend and mother of his children, Mary Maloney. Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and he previously worked at the 171st Air Refueling Wing at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport. He then retired from U.S. Airways as Maintenance Supervisor. Ed was a long-time parishioner and usher at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish at St. Columbkille Church. Three core values of Ed’s life were God, family, and country. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11:45 am at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish at St. Columbkille Church, Route 30, Imperial, PA, 15126, followed by interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with military honors at 1:30 pm.
