David E. Williams, age 95, of Moon Township, PA, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Dave was born in Albany, NY, on December 31, 1930, and grew up in Voorheesville, NY, son to the late Dorothy M. (Dearstyne) and Otis N. Williams; beloved husband of 71 years, 7 months, to Wilma J. (Garren) Williams, who survives; father to Jim (Mary) Williams, David (Linda) Williams, Mark Williams, Timothy (Eva) Williams, and Dorothy Williams; grandfather to Michael (Jennifer), Katie, David “DJ” (Angela), and Jacob; step-grandfather to Jaelyn; great-grandfather to Carley, Luke, Evelyn, and Ellie; brother to the late Nelson Williams.
Dave served his country in the Korean War with the U. S. Air Force and then joined the U. S. Army Reserves as a supply tech. After retirement, he was a long time member of The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA), an organization that supports veterans and their families. Wilma attended many TREA meetings with Dave where he always gave the opening and closing prayers. He also had his pilot’s license and flew small aircraft, even owning his own plane at one time. Dave was a member of Mensa International for many years, and belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Moon Township until their closing.
Dave was deeply loved by his wife and family. He will be missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace, Dave.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 4, 2026, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Dave’s burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors.
