David A. Hootman

David A. Hootman, age 54, of Gallipolis, OH, formerly of Ashville, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  He was born on December 12, 1969, in Dover, DE, to the late Charles W. and Helen (Custer) Hootman.  David was a 1989 graduate of Teays Valley High School and still holds some football records to this day.  He worked for Mueller Electric Company for many years.

David is survived by his wife, Katrina Mullin Hootman; children, Trish, Becky, and Cody; grandchildren, Kayle, Jeremy, Mason, Norman, Daniel, Kadon, Ayla, and Levi; brother, Charles W. Hootman III; nieces and nephew, Mindie Hootman, Eric James Hootman, and Jennifer Hootman; great nephew, Kevin Campbell Jr.; and cousin, Don Custer.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, OH.  In Pennsylvania, visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, 951 Cliff Mine Rd., Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332, with Pastor Steve Bryd officiating.  Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery in Bulger, PA.  Rest in peace, David.
