David E. Coates

David E. Coates, Sr., age 76, passed peacefully at his residence on Thursday, June 2, 2022. A son of the late David and Pauline (Muzy) Coates, beloved husband of Barbara A. (Oravetz) Coates; loving father of David (Jody) Coates, Kevin (Gina) Coates, and Kristen (Matt) Maritz; cherished grandfather of Kat, Charlie, Megan, Madison, Delaney, Matthew, Andrew, David, and Jonathan; brother of Darlene (the late Sonny) Parrish and Albert “Bub” (Pam) Coates. David was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army.  He graduated from West Allegheny High School and Robert Morris University.  He really enjoyed using his spare time coaching baseball and wrestling, being a member of the boosters, as well as being a cub scout leader.  He was also very involved at St. Columbkille Church where he was a eucharistic minister, served on parish share, and was a Lenten ash preparer.

Rest in Peace, Dave.  Yes, you are utterly fantastic!
