Charles T. Richell, age 83, of Findlay Township, Coraopolis, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, after months of health challenges. Chuck was born in Canonsburg, PA, on May 23, 1942, son to the late Lois (Wearing) and Henry Richell Sr.
Chuck is survived by and was devotedly married to his loving wife, Kathleen (McDermitt) Richell, for 60 years. He is also survived by their daughter, Dana Schultz and her husband, George, nieces, nephews, and decades-long friends. Chuck is preceded in death by his brother, Henry (Barb) Richell Jr.
Chuck grew up in McDonald and enjoyed his hobbies of hunting and fishing. Following his 1960 graduation from Fort Cherry High School, he proudly served in the U. S. Army. Chuck and Kathy settled in Oakdale during which time Chuck worked for Duquesne Light and served as an elder for the Noblestown United Presbyterian Church. Upon retirement, Chuck and Kathy enjoyed twenty sunny years in Bradenton, FL.
At Chuck’s request, there was no visitation. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Committal Service at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone please meet at the cemetery at 2:15 p.m. It is respectfully requested that donations in Chuck’s memory be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, ATTN: Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
