Bonnie S. (Proud) Jones

Bonnie S. Jones, age 80, of North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital.  She was born on April 11, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant, PA.  Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Larry “Jonez” Jones; daughter of the late James and Betty (McAlister) Proud; beloved mother of James Salla, Larry (Marion) Dellasalla, Ralph (Theresa) Salla, Raymond (Rachael) Jones, Dana Jones, Jason Pquet, and the late Augustine “Augie” Salla who passed on December 6, 2015 and his wife Valerie who survives; sister of Mary (John) McCann; cherished grandmother of 14; adored great-grandmother of eight.  Bonnie enjoyed camping with family and friends at their campground in Slippery Rock.  She loved animals and enjoyed fishing with the squirrel at the dock on the South Side of Pittsburgh.  Bonnie especially loved her fur buddies, her five dogs - Meeka, Chica, Joey, Rambo, and Chi-Chi; and her four cats - Sassy, Sysco, Mylo, and Gizmo.  She also loved her feathered friends, her two birds, Elvis and Jonez.  Bonnie always cheered on her two favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, the Pirates and Steelers.  At home, she especially enjoyed eating spaghetti and meatballs, cooked by her husband, Jonez.  Although Bonnie was not an exceptionally good babysitter, she treasured her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Family to receive friends at the HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Rd., North Fayette Twp., Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332 on Saturday, March 11, 2023 between the hours of 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm; prayer service to follow at 8 pm.  Rest in peace, Bonnie.
