Betty J. (Pierce) Persin

Betty J. Persin, age 86, of Bulger, PA, passed peacefully at Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV, on Tuesday morning August 3, 2021.   A daughter of the late George and Laura (Antill) Pierce; beloved wife of the late Frank Persin who passed in 1996; devoted mother of Darlene Moore and her husband, Terry; cherished grandmother of Morgan Moore and great-grandmother of Nixon Presutti and Roman Allen; sister of the late Mary White and Lillian Chappell.

Betty and her husband, Frank, owned the former Persins Tavern for 35 years which is now named Bavington Roadhouse.  Betty loved to cook and bake, playing bingo, listening to polkas, and traveling - especially to Las Vegas where she left all her winnings there.  She adored her canine friend, Buffy, and enjoyed her church family in Brightwood Center.
