Barbara Ann Finnegan, age 80, of Hanover Township, Clinton, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 19, 2026, surrounded by her devoted and loving family, in the care of Heartland Hospice. Barbara was born on July 5, 1945, in Sheraden, PA, daughter to the late Josie (Frankl) and Harry Reber. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Dennis J. Finnegan, daughter, Denise, grandchildren, Makayla, Lynnsie, and James Moore and Isabella Finnegan, great-granddaughter, Charli Anne Hall, and many other beloved family members. She treasured each and every one of them deeply. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Heather A. Moore.
Barbara was raised in Sheraden and carried those roots with her throughout her life. Those who were blessed to know her understood that she was a compassionate and selfless woman who lived entirely for her family. She had a way of making everyone feel loved, and her warmth touched all who knew her.
Barbara found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. She would do anything for those she loved, always putting others before herself. To her grandchildren she was “Yaya,” a name that became synonymous with comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. To know Yaya was to love her.
Barbara was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Department, dedicating time and heart to her community. An exceptional woman, Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the way she made everyone feel like family. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. “Forever in our hearts.”
Barbara’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion provided during this time.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 23, 2026, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M.
