Ava M. (Bruno) Parry

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ava Maria Parry of North Fayette Township, Oakdale, PA, on December 10, 2025, surrounded by family.  A loving mother, Grammie, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, Ava was 62 years old.  She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 8, 1963, daughter to Kathryn (Teyssier) and the late Samuel Bruno Sr. who passed on June 16, 2010; wife of 25 years to the late David G. Parry who passed on January 8, 2010.  Along with her mother, Ava is survived by her daughter, Christina (Andrew) Vasbinder; grandson, Emmett Vasbinder; sisters, Tina Bruno and Cindy Bruno; brothers, Samuel Bruno Jr., Louis (Christin) Bruno, and Charles Bruno; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.  Ava is also preceded in death by her Godmother, Philomena Bruno.

After the passing of her husband, Ava enjoyed traveling to North Carolina to visit her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.  Beach trips, shopping, and playing games with Emmett brought her much joy and happiness in life.

Ava was fiercely dedicated to her family and friends.  Being a mother and then a Grammie were the most important parts of Ava’s life, roles that gave her much pride and joy.  Her compassion for her loved ones was inspirational and will live on in their memories for many years to come.  Rest in peace, Ava.

Family to receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by Burial at Valley Cemetery.  It is respectfully requested that donations in Ava’s memory be sent to one’s favorite charity.
