Arlene V. Long

Age 85, of Findlay Township, Imperial, PA, passed peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2021.  Beloved wife of the late Cecil A. Long  who passed on February 24, 2014.  A daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Younger) Eriksson; loving mother of Rev. Dr. Jeff (Lois) Long, Traci Melnick and Lori (Mark) Thomas; cherished grandmother of Seth (Brittany) Melnick, Emily Long, Rachael Long, Lindsay Thomas, Cassidy Thomas and Dane Thomas. 

Arlene was very passionate about her quilting and enjoyed spending time with her "Quilting Girls", the "Good Measure Quilters".  She also enjoyed her countless knitting projects that she would donate to charity, as well as to family and friends.  She enjoyed countless trips with her daughter, Traci, over many years to Lancaster, Finger Lakes, Branson, and Top Sail Island.  She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Arlene was a sweet and thoughtful soul; always reaching out to others with thank you and congratulation notes when they least expected it.  In her younger years, Arlene worked for the Findlay Township Water Authority and Valley Presbyterian Church.  She was a proud and dedicated member of Christ Church at Grove Farm, Sewickley, Pa.
