Anna Mae Sauers

Anna Mae Sauers, age 96, passed peacefully on Wednesday evening, July 21, 2021.  The daughter of the late David W. and Anna M. (Zirngibl) Pirrung; cherished wife of the late Samuel J. Sauers who passed on May 12, 1974; devoted mother of Raymond (Jeannette) Sauers, Vivian (Glenn) Sparbanie, Lorraine (the late Danny) Burns, and the late Edward Sauers who passed on June 16, 2021, and David Sauers who passed on February 1, 2021; beloved grandmother of Laurie, Samantha,  Marsha, Marty, Casey, Sam, Brandie and Jade; beloved great-grandmother of Amanda,  Jason, David "Buddy", Shelly, Raven, Nick, Ben, Ashley, Danny, Allison, Sammy, Aiden and Hunter; and great-great-grandmother of Baby Cunningham on the way.  She was the sister of the late Hilda Pletsch Welty, Wallace Pirrung and Jacob Pirrung.

Anna Mae was very proud as one of the many "Rosie the Riveters" during WWII.  She was one of the recruited female workers for defense in the factories making shell casings for the war effort.

She retired from Deluxe Checking as a proof reader.
