Anna Hazel Keane, age 94, of Pleasant Hills, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Celebration Villa of Allison Park. Anna was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 11, 1929, daughter to the late Annie (Lukachko) and Paul Hakos Sr.; beloved mother to William Keane, Michael Keane, and Patrick Keane; adored grandmother to Tyler Keane, Kyle Keane, and the late Nathaniel Danko-Keane; sister to the late Paul Hakos Jr., Susan Bugay, Annie Hakos, John Hakos, Marie Hakos, and George Hakos. Anna retired from Chemply in Elizabeth, PA, and spent her retired years volunteering for hospice and Meals on Wheels. An ardent walker, Anna was blessed with the energy and health to provide for others through her volunteering. A kind, giving soul, Anna was forever taking care of others through her kindness, preparation of food and ceaseless gardening. Anna will be sadly missed and always hold a special place in everyone’s heart. Family to receive friends at the HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Rd., North Fayette Twp., Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, between the hours of 5:00-9:00 pm. A private funeral service will be held for Anna’s family. She will be laid to rest in St. Columbkille Cemetery. It is respectfully requested memorial donations be sent to one’s local Meals on Wheels chapter in her memory. Rest in peace, Anna.
