Judith K. Bolind, age 84, of Findlay Township, Clinton, PA, passed away on Sunday morning, March 17, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, PA, after a courageous battle against an extended illness. Judy was born in Imperial, PA, on August 19, 1939, daughter to the late Caroline E. (Engel) and Hilliard W. “Runt” Beitsinger; devoted wife of 62 years to the late Ronald E. “Gene” Bolind Sr. who passed on January 29, 2024; beloved mother to Ronald Bolind Jr., Scott Bolind, Chris (Maryann) Bolind, and Kerry Branton; cherished grandmother to Jesse, Caleb, Dylan, Cory, and Kirsten; sister to Sandra Beitsinger, Janet (Frederick) Werner, John (Michelle) Beitsinger, and the late Carol Marburger; adored by her many nieces and nephews that she cherished as if they were her own.
Judy graduated from West Allegheny High School in 1957. She worked as a secretary before marrying Gene Bolind on September 29, 1961. Judy ran several business ventures from home such as breeding collies, crafting, and making chocolates. She worked for Findlay Township before becoming the secretary of the Findlay Township Water Authority from where she retired. First and foremost, Judy’s lifelong passion and service was to Valley Presbyterian Church where she at times was an Elder, Deacon, church treasurer, cemetery board member, and Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was also a vibrant and active member in many other organizations such as Order of the Eastern Star for which she was a past Worthy Matron, Presbyterian Women, Findlay Township Fair Board, Treasurer of Findlay Township Senior Citizen’s, Montour Grange, and past officer of the Raccoon Women’s Club. Judy was an energetic volunteer for the Hebron Church MOPS group, West Allegheny Food Pantry, and a past volunteer at Faith in Action. She also delivered for Meals on Wheels, served the Lions Club dinners, and helped with countless other organizations, too numerous to mention.
Judy was full of life, a powerful leader, and always got the job done and did it with excellence. She was the matriarch of the family and kept everyone connected. Judy never missed a birthday, anniversary, or holiday, and her entire family will miss receiving her cards. She was extremely generous and took care of whatever needed to be done. Judy will be missed beyond words.
