Joseph M. Dawgiello

Joseph M. Dawgiello III, age 42, of Robinson Township, Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024.  Joseph was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on August 2, 1981, son to Susan (Kownacki) Dawgiello and the late Joseph Dawgiello Jr.  Along with his mother, he is survived by his sons, Jorden and Devin Dawgiello, his sister, Jillian Dawgiello, and her children, Joseph Dawgiello IV and Alexis Dawgiello. Joseph also leaves behind Jazzy, his cat of over 12 years, that was his 3rd child.  While hospitalized, Joseph demanded that Jazzy be taken care of daily, and pictures of her were sent to him as often as possible.  Jazzy will be cared for and loved by his best friend of almost 20 years, Johnny.

Joseph was widely known as JD or Mikey by those who knew him.  He worked at Market District in Robinson for over 15 years where he was cherished by everyone.  Joseph was dedicated to his family, putting his sons above everything else in the world.  Whether it was going on an annual family vacation to Hilton Head Island or traveling to see his eldest son across multiple states, he would spend as much time as possible with them.  Joseph was one of the biggest Pittsburgh sports fans around, wearing jerseys every single day and attending as many games as possible.

Family to receive friends at the HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, 724-695-7332, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.  Casual wear with your favorite Pittsburgh sports jersey is encouraged.  A private burial will be held on Friday.  It is respectfully requested that donations in Joseph’s memory be sent to the funeral home.  Rest in peace, Joseph.
